Jonas was born with dwarfism in the Old West. He grew up learning to shoot revolvers from his father, who was a performer. The travelling show was in route to the next town when they were attacked and captured by Indians (Native Americans). While captive, they were offered as sacrifice to a werewolf that had been terrorizing the tribe. Most were killed. Others, like Jonas, were turned. Jonas ran away. During the next full moon, he returned to the tribe, along with the werewolf that turned him. They decimated the tribe. Over time, and with the help of a shaman he befriended later, he had learned to control the beast within, even learning to make the change at any time. At some point, he aquires a pair of revolvers as a gift. He adopted the mohawk to look more fearsome as a werewolf. Over the many years, he wandered, helping those in need, either as werewolf or gunslinger. He fought during WW2 on the side of the Allies, having fought along side American General and Captain Omega. In more modern times, he has become a hero of sorts, teaming up with many heroes during his nomadic travels, including Black Arachnid, Baggu, Brute and Tiny, Sneakers, and others.

Has werewolf powers and weaknesses. He also has slowed aging, but he is not immortal. Halloween, or All Hallows Eve, is the only night of the year that he cannot make the change, full moon or not, due to a restriction on his curse.
