Major Mars, Knight of Ivaldi (Open Source)

Origin
Wilhem is a non-terran officer in the USAF serving a 2-year tour on Mars. His duties are to find and collect or destroy any evidence of an ancient Martian civilization.
On one of his searches, he discovered the opening to an old temple. After clearing the way, he went inside, following a long hallway. Reaching the end of the hall, he came to a large chamber. In the center of the chamber was an alter. He walks to the alter to find several artifacts upon it, covered in a very thick layer of dust. He wipes the dust from a helmet, and suddenly the room is sealed and the sounds of rushing gas fill Wilhem's ears. Then it stops. A monochromatic green hologram of what appears to be a Gray before him, "Terran. Welcome. I am Hvlonne, Son of Ivaldi. The atmosphere is safe." Wilhem removes his helmet. Hvlonne names and describes what each artifact is and does. "You are now Mars, a Knight of Ivaldi." The hologram vanishes. Wilhem puts his helmet back on and collects the artifacts. The room is still sealed. He looks, but cannot find a way out. He looks about, thinking. He again removes his helmet and dons the gear of Mars. When he is finished, the room unseals. He looks at the exit with a mischievious grin.

Artifacts and Weapons
THE MARS SWORD - the sword of the god Mars. When placed where he wants to carry the sword, it becomes invisible and intangible (in another dimension) until he needs it. Forged from an unknown material that is indestructable, and holds an ever edge.
THE MARS HELM - the helmet of Mars. It grants superhuman strength, stamina, durability, tactical awareness, survival in a vacuum and underwater. Also grants night vision.
THE VAMBRACES OF MARS - made of Martian steel and also have retractible punch daggers.
THE BELT OF MARS - it contains an emergency teleportation device that transports to a specific location.

Wilhem also carries his military issue pistols and knives.

Legal
MAJOR MARS is an "Open-Source Character" and has been deemed so, specifically, for use by anyone by the original creator. The only rule about using him/her/it is that your work must have this notation:
