Origin
David was raised by a tigress in the jungle from a few weeks old until adulthood. She bestowed upon him the powers of the cat family. When he arrived in America, he became the Cat-Man and fought crime. He even gained a girl sidekick called Kitten. Years later, Kitten had left and started a family. David continued as Cat-Man. During one of his battles, he was severely wounded, even beyond his cat powers ability to heal him. He had lost both legs, and both arms. He was placed in a community home to be cared for. Some time later, he was approached by Dr. Horton, a robotics expert. He told David that he could restore his limbs by using parts from an android he was forced to bury many years before. David agreed. Dr. Horton completed the procedure. After David healed, quickly due to his cat powers, he began rehabilitation. He adapted at a rapid rate. He could function in life, and even fight again. Then one day, for no apparent reason, the limbs had burst into flames, enveloping David in fire. Whilst, attempting to put out the flames, he realized he wasn't burning. Dr. Horton told him to concentrate on putting out the flames with his thoughts. It worked. David still had his cat powers, now he had the ability to control flames. He soon taught himself how to ignite his body and throw fireballs. He also learned to fly using the flames. He adopted the suit of the android and his cat mask and became Hellcat, fiery feline of justice.

Powers
David is a cyborg with the powers of the cat family (see in dark, great leaping, talk to cats, nine lives, climb anything) and create and control flames (fire balls, ignite body, fly)
