Spideress (Open Source)

Real Name: Shanyn Raynes

Aliases: Spider Queen (II)

Created by: Marz Workman, 10-14-2019

Origin/History
Shanyn was digging around in her family's attic when she found a box with a costume, the “spider‐web fluid” formula and the set of bracelets her great-grandmother, Shannon Kane, invented. With these items were some news clippings of the Spider Queen. She took the items.

She made the formula and cleaned the bracelets to test if they still worked. Fortunately, they did still worked. She loaded them up an started practicing with them. She also began studying martial arts and gymnastics. After months of training, she decided to don the costume and fight crime as the second Spider Queen. After a few successful outings, she saw herself in the news feeds and on television. She noticed the costume looked dated, so she made an updated version.

On one of her outings, she ran across the Black Arachnid (II). They happened to be chasing the same crook, so they teamed up and caught the guy. They began teaming and training more often, then, after revealing their identities to one another, they began dating. So, to better match with Max, she designed a new costume and changed her code name.

At times, they have teamed with Black Arachnid (2.0) and Black Arachness. As a group, they call themselves The Arachnids.

She is a nurse at a local hospital.

Abilities
trained acrobat, martial artist, and web slinger.
trained nurse.

Equipment
a set of bracelets that shoot a "spider-web fluid" and a belt that houses many pellets and gadgets. Max has made her a new set of bracelets copied exactly from the originals, only made with better materials. She has archived the originals.

Allies
Black Arachnid (II)
Black Arachnid 2.0
Black Arachness

Notes
Spideress' spider-web fluid formula is different from both Black Arachnids (which each has his own formula), although they all function nearly the same.

Black Arachness (Open Source)

Real Name: Anastasia "Ana" Shvets

Other Aliases: The Reaper Ghost

Created by: Marz Workman, 10-3-2019

Origin/History
Ana was living in Russia when she was taken by the Greys, not the Sons of Ivaldi Grays. They took her and experimented with her DNA over a period of time, giving her several abilities, and wiping her mind of who she was, then inserted an amber diamond into her brain. This is how they communicate with her. They also implanted a small, ruby hourglass in the small of her back that is connected to her spine. It is unknown what function it serves. When they were finished, they released her as their weapon of terror (the Reaper Ghost). Her duties to the Greys included raiding isolated villages and towns and capturing humans for experiments and, sometimes, food for the them.

Once, the diamonds function was blocked by raditation. She lost contact with the Greys, and their hold over her was gone. She regained all of her memories and remembered the horrifying things she did for the Greys. Still  able to speak with them, she vowed to destroy them. Now, her mission is to redeem herself by destroying the Greys and freeing anyone who is a captive experiment. Free from their control, she is lost in the United States of America. She eventually runs across the American General and the Black Arachnid (2.0). After a breif hostile encounter, she tells her story. Ana requests to be allowed to locate the other experiments, which she can find with the diamond in her head. Being a foreign agent on American soil, the American General assigns Black Arachnid to be her handler. He also reminds her that she is a visitor in this country and not to mess up.

After several adventures of hunting the Greys, looking for the other experiments and everyday "hero" work, Everett sees that she has great potential and gives her the code-name of Black Arachness. She later becomes an American citizen and gets a suit to match Everett's, while still retaining the camouflaging properties of her previous suit, and she gets web launchers, becoming an official member of the Black Arachnid family.

Appearance
Average height; long, blonde hair; thin, fit build; emerald green eyes; vertical, ruby hourglass on the small of her back

Powers
Abilities
Equipment
  • bodysuit that is able to mimic her camouflage powers
Weapons

  • dual pistols

Notes
This is the 5th version of the Black Arachnid.

Wikipedia shows both the Greys and Grays as the same species. For purposes of this document, the Grays are a sub-species of the Greys, and the Sons of Ivaldi are a group of Grays related to the dwarfs in Norse mythology (ie: the Sons of Ivaldi are Grays, also theorized in Ancient Aliens.)

Black Arachnid 2.0 (Open Source)

Real Name: Everett Snowe

Created by: Marz Workman, 09-09-2019

Origin/History

Everett was one of the great heroes of the Golden Age, fighting along side the American General, Yellow Wolf, Captain Omega and others, fighting Nazis and other Axis armies across the world. He was also the defender of the city of Marston (like how I snuck that in there?) when he returned after the war.

Everett started his hero career by accident (don't they all?). He was a chemist working on a food additive that would preserve the food indefinitely in cans. The additive would encase the food inside the can, then the vacuum sealing of the can would preserve the additive.

One day, while checking the additive...um...adder, it failed forcing the chemical to go everywhere. It came in contact with electricity, and went from a malleable gel to a thick, highly tactile ooze.

While home, Everett began to experiment with his newfound discovery. He designed a "shooter" on an arm and rigged electrodes to the end of the shooter. Fail! He was trying to recreate what happened at the cannery, but just could not figure it out. He soon learned that he had to ionize the gel so it could receive the charge.

After weeks of working, he finally designed a "shooter" that could ionize the, now more liquid, gel and deliver an electrical charge to make it become flexible, strong and tacky.

When playing with the "shooter", he realized that his mess looked like a spider's web. Originally planning to market his new gadget as a toy, he instead designed a hero around the toy (as superheroes were popping up everywhere). He became the Black Arachnid, wearing a suit and Bowler hat, all black, with a silver lapel pin in the form of a spider. After a while of fighting street crime, he joined the other heroes, who suggested the circus suit to hero in. So, the tights were born, adorned with a golden circle topped with a black spider.

After the war and his return home, he fought street level crime again. He soon found himself battling a villain inside a lab. this evil bastard was trying to create a rip in space/time to consume the Earth. That failed, but did create a time portal into which Black Arachnid was sucked in.

Hello, and welcome to another exciting episode of "SCREWED". That's right, today's guest is the Black Arachnid!

Everett found himself thrust into an alternate future. Arriving in 2019, he had no idea what the hell was going on. He was confused and a little afraid. Luckily, he was found by the, still living, American General who immediately recognized him. He was brought to a government facility, questioned, and brought up to speed on the world today. He was also told of Max, the son he never had, who is a great ally to many heroes.

The American General brought Everett back into the hero game. Only, his "shooters" were not going to be enough. He was put through the Vitamin 2-X Program where he was given the Vitamin 2-X, a chemical acquired from Dr. Emil Franz that enhances the human body for limited amounts of time. Only now, it has been remastered into a gene therapy and only has to be administered once a month, instead of once a day.

Today, Everett trains with his new abilities and fights along side today's heroes. Even the son he never had.
