Ghost Tiger (Open Source)

Real Name: George Timball

Origin/History

George is a local policeman and former military serviceman. He served during WWII. Upon returning home, he became a policeman. On a certain day, he came across a robbery at a local Chinese gift store. He entered, and, after a short confrontation, he subdued the thief. To show his appreciation, the Chinese man, Leung Mong, gave him a ring. It is not known if Leung knew the ring bestowed power.

Once home, George remembered the ring in his pocket and placed it on his finger. A wash of emotions and thoughts and feelings and pain overtook him. During this ordeal of bestowal, a voice speaking a form of Chinese began to tell him of the power of the ring, and somehow, George understood. When the event ended, George passed out for the night. 

The next morning, George awoke feeling better than he had before the war. He went on duty. During his day, he had chased criminals through the city. During these chases, a few of his powers manifested themselves. Once off duty, he returned to the store where he received the ring, only it was not there. According to the owner of the shop that was there, there was never a Chinese store there as his store had been there for twenty years.

At home, George was overcome with confusion, and he stares at the ring on his finger. All of a sudden, an older Chinese man appears in a ghostly form before George. He explains what the ring does and tells George that he must meditate daily to unlock and master the ring's power. He also says that the power can be used for good or evil, the choice belongs to George.

George begins to meditate daily, slowly over time unlocking new abilities. He also bought a farm outside of town so he could practice his new powers. He discovers that he has the abilities of a ghost and is able to equal or better anyone in combat. So, after a few encounters on duty, using his powers secretly, George decides to don a costume and fight crime off-duty as a super hero. He chooses a tiger for the base of his alter ego, as its symbol is on the ring. Couple that with his ghost-like abilities, and he called himself Ghost Tiger.

Notes

It is unknown if George still lives in the present day and holds the ring, or if he passed the ring to someone else and lived/lives the rest of his life as normal.

Wereverine (Open Source)

Real Name: Julian Harrison

Origin

Julian was hiking in the Canadian forest. He was surprised by a bear, who promptly attacked him. In his attempt to escape, Julian fell over a cliff. After lying mangled, suffering, on the rocks below for several hours, a large wolverine approached. It tenderly bit him on the arm, holding the bite for many seconds. Once the wolverine released the oral grip, it falls to the ground, gasping for air. Suddenly, it changes form to that of a young woman. She smiles at him as she dies. A day later, Julian awakens completely healed. He notices a medallion in his hand, it has strange writing on it. Then, out of nowhere, a spectral form of the woman appears to him, "You have been chosen by the spirits of the Earth. My gift has been passed to you. It is your choice if it be blessing, or curse." The medallion melts without harming his hand, and dissolves into the ground.

As Julian is leaving the forest, he, again, is confronted by the bear. The bear attacks a second time. Julian's heart begins to race, an he transforms into a creature that is half man, half wolverine. He leaps at the bear, arms wide, with his large claws at the ready. In a single motion, both arms come together and back around his body as he lands on his feet. Behind him, the bear falls dead. He looks at his hands. As he calms, he reverts back to his human self. Still looking at himself, then the bear, he smiles and leaves the woods.

Julian would later join the ranks of heroes across the globe.

Powers and Abilities

In his human form, Julian has enhanced strength and reflexes. In his were-form, Julian gains about 4 inches of height and is covered in fur, a head shaped more like that of a wolverine, he has 6-inch, sharp claws protruding from each finger, he also has enhanced senses.

Cinder (Open Source)

Real Name: Cindy Ashmore

Origin

When Cindy was an infant, in the early 1920s, her mother had a confrontation with a gypsy. The gypsy cursed Cindy, speaking to her mother, "Your child will burn on her eighteenth birthday, and burn for the rest of her life!" The gypsy then placed an ash mark on Cindy's arm. Her mother quickly drew her away and left the scene.

On her eighteenth birthday, Cindy burst into flames. Her mother knew the curse had come true. Cindy fell to the ground, screaming, then as quickly as they appeared, the flames vanished. Cindy lay on the ground, unharmed. Her mother fell to her knees and held her daughter. When Cindy looked up, her mother saw that her eyes were now yellow.

Over the next few months, Cindy discovered she had fire-related powers and began to learn to control them. She then began fighting crime.

She fights crime to this day.

Powers and Abilities

Create and project flame, immune to heat and fire, heat healing-her metabolism is increased by heat, therefore increasing her ability to heal and decreasing her aging process, can burn so hot she turns luminescent white.
